HOST A STUDENT
HomebaseUS families and the students they host develop lasting friendships and memories that they cherish long after the student has returned to their home country.
We work with energetic and welcoming families interested in fostering a cross-culture atmosphere of sharing and learning. We seek hosts who want to help students with the challenging process of integrating into our American culture. This can include showing the student the geographic region and its natural and cultural amenities, meeting with the school to learn how to further support the student’s studies, encouraging extra-curricular activities like music and sports, and facilitating friendships with their peers.
HomebaseUS students are in America primarily for education. We look for host families who will maintain that priority, and also enrich the student’s experience by allowing them to fully engage in American family life. Our hosts treat the students as members of their own families with the same expectations—treating the student as one of your own children by including him or her in family gatherings, celebrations, and daily life in the household.
